2) The Personal Data We Collect
To purchase items in the MJSA Bookstore, members and other users are asked to create an account by providing some limited information. This information is submitted voluntarily. MJSA asks each user to provide his or her name, business name and address, and e-mail address.
We ask for similar information in our membership application, our free trial subscription form, and our registration pages for shows, conferences, contests, and other events and programs.
MJSA also requires a name, company name, and e-mail address from users who subscribe to our e-newsletters and other digital communications.
MJSA makes member contact information available through the online MJSA Buyer’s Guide. This information includes company name, city and state in which the company resides, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail and website addresses. Members that do not wish to have specific information displayed can contact MJSA at 1-800-444-MJSA or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to have their information removed.
MJSA also makes member contact information available through the online MJSA Guide to Subcontractors and the digital edition of MJSA Retail Link. The Guide to Subcontractors includes company names, a company’s full address (street address, city, state, and ZIP code), phone numbers, e-mail address, and website address. The Retail Link includes company name, city and state in which the company resides, phone number, and e-mail and web addresses. Members that do not wish to have specific information displayed can contact MJSA at 1-800-444-MJSA or e-mail email@example.com and ask to have their information removed.
MJSA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, MJSA submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.
The MJSA website contains links to other websites not controlled by MJSA. MJSA has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.
3) How Your Data Is Used
We may use the personal data that you provide directly to us for the following purposes:
