Accu-Sil Rubber

American Jewelry Supply

Accu-Sil is a silicone rubber engineered to produce user-friendly molds that deliver a sharp and smooth reproduction of detail of even the most complex designs. Designed to self-release without the need for sprays or powders, the rubber is tough yet pliable for easy pattern removal. Featuring extra-high tear resistance for longer mold life, the material has excellent memory for retaining shape and cuts with ease. Offered in 5 lb. boxes, the rubber is available in three formulations. Teal-colored, Accusil 20 is a very low-temperature molding rubber with a vulcanization temperature of 80°C (176°F) for 20 minutes and a 0.1 percent shrinkage rate. Accusil 70 is colored marigold and has a shrinkage rate of less than 1.1 percent. Brick red in color, Accusil 80 is the firmest rubber with a shrinkage rate of less than 1.1 percent and a vulcanization temperature of 330°F to 350°F (165°C to 175°C).
