The phrase, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” is as common in business as it is in other aspects of our lives. If something is working—whether it’s a routine or a manufacturing process—it’s easier to continue doing it than trying to improve it. Sure, we may make a tweak here, or slap on a fix there, and they may be clumsy, but as long as it continues to work, why meddle?
